By clicking the tab above, you will be taken to an explanation of my project and how I got the opportunity to do what I am doing. I will outline The Prism Project and my work with them, my roles and responsibilities this semester as well as how this work will be implemented in the spring semester.

In order to ensure that the dance directors have materials to use each year I have compiled a list of activities that have both been used in the past as well as generated new ones to be added to that list. These activities can be used at various times throughout class and can very easily be adapted to students' needs as well as each week's topic or focus.

This section will emphasize important details for online learning. We are working to stick to a similar structure that the students are familiar with and adapting that to fit the medium we will be teaching with.
Over the course of this semester, the Prism Project team has worked to create a schedule that gives us ample time to work with the students. In this time we are able to provide them classes in the disciplines of dance, music, theatre and art. In doing this we are working toward creating our final performance that will be showcased in April.
About the Creator
Madi began dancing at age 3. She has trained in a variety of styles and is currently a Senior in the BFA dance program at Ball State University (expected 2021). Her performance credits include Senior Choreography Projects, A TAPestry of Dance, Jukebox Dinner Theatre, Full Circle Dance, and Intertextuality.
In addition to her training at Ball State, Madi is the President of Movement Exchange, an organization that shares dance with the local community and is also involved with Prism Project, a place where performing arts are taught to kids with developmental disabilities. She is also an active member of Student Dance Association as well as a committee member for Dance Marathon.
These organizations allow her to spread her passion for dance to a broader audience. She hopes to continue sharing this information with others by attending graduate school to work toward a degree in dance/movement therapy. Dance/movement therapy will allow for continual growth in the field and endless opportunities to use dance in a way to help others.
