We Are She

Choreographed by Cassidy Crull
Performed by Juliana Stanger

This dance film explores dissociative identity disorder. Dissociative identity disorder is when a person has two or more distinct personalities that control the way a person behaves. Each personality is defined as an alter which can have their own name, age, gender, vocabulary, and mood. This work incorporates these aspects of the disease and will continue to be developed in the spring semester.

Cassidy is a senior BFA dance major from Darlington, Indiana. She has been dancing for eighteen years in various styles. As a dancer and choreographer, Cassidy focuses on how her body moves through space. She explores the depths of her kinesphere to create expanding and contracting movements. Using breath as a guide in creating new initiation points serves as the backbone of her work. Guiding the audience through comfortable and uncomfortable situations.
